ONE OF A KIND ITEM - WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO MAKE 2 OF THESE BAGS
Handmade one of a kind weekender duffel bag using a hand stitched vintage Dresden Plate quilt from the 1930s. Inspired by the popular porcelain plates created in Dresden, Germany during the 1920s and 1930s, each quilt block is made with petal shaped wedges pieced together, and then appliquéd to a square block of fabric. The 1930s Dresden quilt is easy to identify as it often was made by recycling the sacks that had been used for holding grain and seed. Women saved and traded feedsacks with their neighbors to achieve the desired pattern or color.
The duffel is fully lined with luxurious navy satin. The straps are made in LA and the bag features complimentary zips on the exterior and interior. Each bag has been hand cut from different sections of the same textile to achieve a unique and truly one of a kind piece. This pack features an interior zipper pocket for your most precious belongings. It’s perfect for carry on items, a weekend adventure, and folds down to a convenient size for storage.
Duffel size: 19” long x 10” tall x 10” wide
Though we designed this item with quality at the forefront, this is a handmade item using upcycled fabrics. Please handle with care. Avoid washing is possible but spot treat & hand-wash with woolite or your favorite gentle detergent only when needed in cold water. The lining can be pulled out to spot treat or hand wash that section as well. Reshape and lay flat to dry.
